I wish there were moe templates to choose from. I am bored with the options given.

I have not been putting much time into my blog. I find the blogs I like to look at mostly have photos- not much to say- just photos.

I need to take the camera with me next time I take a walk. There is a shrub that's blooming right now and I'm not sure what it is. By the flower it looks like a Laurel but the leaves and the way it's growing make me wonder.

Tomorrow is baby registration day. We are going to attempt to do so at the baby mega center- Babies "R" Us- it's so overwhelming. What ever there is that your baby needs you have over half a dozen to choose from. Maybe I should go with Target where the options are limited????

long weekend!

It started out nice- the sun was out most of the day. The clouds have rolled in so I'm thinking tomorrow migh not be as nice.

I was going to sit by the pool but instead kept finding things to do inside. I was able to enjoy a couple nice walks.

Hopefully tomorrow will be a little more interesting. Maybe I will post some photos from my weekend in Bend.

I have the baking bug!

I had buttermilk left over from last weeks cupcakes so decided to make buttermilk cupcakes. They don't sound that great but wow are they moist.

Same recipe book different recipe- last week 24 Red Velvet Cupcakes--- This week 36 Buttermilk Cupcakes!

Topped with chocolate buttercream frosting!

The gals at work are either going to kiss me or curse me for all the goodies!

Afternoon Tea

Yesterday I had afternoon tea at the Heathman downtown with some gal pals. It was a lot of fun. I believe the tradition is to wear fancy hats- we didn't have any to wear.

There was a whole menu of goodies and they brought one thing out for each of the guest and then you had your own pot of tea.

Then I went to the garden center and got some shade loving plants. Our deck gets hardly any sun. By the late afternoon it's creeping around the corner of the apartment and the very edge is getting some sun and then by around 6pm or so it's in full sun. It's going to be nice this summer not to have the blazing sun burning into the living room, but I have to say I like a bit more sun. The morning would be best. I like sitting out there with a cup of coffee enjoying a little warmth from the sun. Oh well- shade plants are fun to.

Here's a little peek of what I bought. I hope to spend the day getting them into fresh pots.

I didn't think I would miss having a yard, but I do. I miss being able to go out and monkey around in the yard. Having a yard there is always something that needs to be done. I have a hard time relaxing so even if I'm just playing around in the garden I feel like I'm being productive.

I have to be positive and think this year it's for the best with the baby coming in August like I'm going to want to be doing any gardening come July and August!
