The Bug had his first play date with a little guy that is 3 days older than him. I thought he would be all over the little guy thinking wow this guy is my size... but no they barely paid any attention to each other. The one time they did was when one had a snack and the other one wanted it.

Lots of new toys to play with and I got ideas of some foods to try. Their little guy pretty much eats everything that they do. I'm thinking I need to go that route and ditch the baby food or least some of it.

This morning I rearranged The Bug's room. I want it to be totally safe for him to crawl around and eventually pull himself up on things. I think I am almost there. I need to get some outlet covers and work on a few cords but other than that I think's pretty good.

I lowered his bed to the last level. The last thing I need is him learning to pull himself up in his crib and me finding him on the floor!

Yesterday we watched some little guys playing baseball and went on the big boy swing at the park. It was a good day- lots of fun new things and not much napping.

Hopefully today he catches up some. He looks very tired- a little guy shouldn't have bags under his eyes!

Here are the blueberry bushes that are by our apartment complex. There are about 7 bushes and they are covered with berries. I am going to have to keep a close eye on them and when they turn go picking quick before someone else gets them. Last year it didn't seem like many people picked them. I hope this year is the same.

Here is the view on my way to work. There is the exit sign on the left and then another sign on the left in the distance. Right above that is Mt. Hood. It's not as clear in the photo as it was in person.

Directly ahead of the white truck in front of me is another view of Mt. Hood. This photo is actually taken before the other. Again not as clear as in person. I will try again on a bright sunny day.

First Strawberries of the Season

I stopped by a fruit stand by my work and picked up a half flat of Hood Strawberries. They were so ripe I had to cut them up and put them in the fridge so they didn't go bad by morning.

A certain little one sure has taken a liking to the berries.

In these photos his shirt is still relatively clean. By the end I thought the shirt was ruined but I was able to get all the stains out. A quick soak with some oxy- clean! that stuff really works.

So little Bug likes Hummus- He ate more hummus tonight than any food that he has ever tried. I feed him little taste on the end of my finger.

We had chicken stir fry for dinner so I would take tiny tiny bites of mashed up carrot, chicken, rice and give it to him. He ate it fine. No gagging, No faces. He was like a little bird who kept on wanting more.

Maybe he is going to skip the baby food and go right to the real thing.

He had his 9 month check up today- just 20lbs and almost 30 inches long. Still 50% for weight and 75% for Height.

She said to let him play with his food and see if he would put some in his mouth so before the whole hummus and stir fry thing we tried some veggie/ turkey baby food with yogurt and this is what happened...

I think some made it into his mouth. Maybe not!

Here's a couple pool photos...
